Price it right
Everyone wants to believe their home is the best. Don't let your ego cost you. Buyers may not return if you reduce the price, or worse: they'll think you've gotten desperate and will offer even less.

Clean it out
Cute pictures from your children stuck on the refridgerator may look like clutter to a stranger. Remove those nicknacks and keep furnature to a minimum.

Listen to real estate professionals
Not every agent is experienced in properly marketing your property. Sadly, some just want a paycheck. Do not let an agent pressure you. Find a professional that explains their business plan (and meets deadlines). Then it is up to you to follow their advice.
