The Fremont Troll |
Every October there's a "Trollaween" party, starting under the bridge and wandering to other fun events. Posing with the troll is encouraged. While you're in Fremont, you can also pose with the Largest Lenin statue in the US or traverse the funky arts district. |

Since 1990, the Fremont troll has been under the north end of
the Aurora bridge (not the Fremont Bridge) at N. 36th Street .
He was sculpted by Seattle area artists Steve Badanes, Will
Martin, Donna Walter and Ross Whitehead for the Fremont Arts
Council.
The troll looks toward the south with his hubcap eye. His left hand pins down an old Volkswagen beetle that supposedly contained a time capsule of Elvis memorabilia that was removed after the bug was vandalized and the California license plate was stolen. |
